Visitor Parking

Like most universities of our size, parking is limited in some areas. University visitors may park in any hourly Pay Lot or Parking Meter, located throughout campus. Visitors parked in these areas pay the posted parking rates. (Campus tours are conducted from the E. Carroll Joyner Visitor Center located at 1210 Varsity Drive at the intersection of Western Boulevard and Varsity Drive.) Parking permits are enforced from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday except on Official University Holidays. Please pay close attention to signs as some lots have extended enforcement hours. Visitor permits are not valid in paylots.

Summer 2014 Construction

Summer is the time of the year when we pave roads, resurface parking lots and attempt to complete as many maintenance projects as possible since we have fewer students and generally less activity on campus. We want you to enjoy your visit, so please take a quick look at the construction map so you'll be aware of areas impacted. Thanks for your patience and understanding!

The Visitor Information Center, located on Stinson Drive (Main Campus).

Visitor Parking - $5 per day

Campus visitors (including workshop, seminar attendees, and people fishing from the Centennial Campus fishing pier) are charged $5 per day to park on campus. Permits may be purchased at the Visitor Information Centers (Main Campus - Stinson Drive, Centennial Campus - Varsity Drive), as well as the NCSU Transportation Office located at 2721 Sullivan Drive. The Transportation Customer Service area operates from 7 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Visitor permits are not valid in pay lots. If you park in a pay lot, you will be charged the pay lot rate; $2 first hour, $2 each additional hour or $10 per day.

Accessible Visitor Parking

Visitors with a state-issued handicap/accessible placard need to purchase and display a visitor permit. The visitor permit allows close proximity. The permit issued is valid in any shared accessible space, as well as any campus unreserved campus parking space.

Loading/Unloading/Event Permits

Special permits are available for loading/unloading and special events. Please visit event parking for more information.
