Centennial Campus Public Input Sessions:
Feedback Summary (these sessions were held in October
2005)
Many of the
comments will be best addressed by multiple university divisions
(Facilities, Campus Police, etc...) in conjunction with Transportation,
and these have been brought to the attention of the respective individuals/department.
In addition, several of the issues that were raised require attention
by the City of Raleigh (in particular, issues regarding getting
to and from the campus from off-campus locations)-- these too have
been forwarded to the appropriate city departments.
Please note:
1. Many of the suggestions for improving the bicycle and pedestrian
environment on Centennial Campus will be used to inform the forthcoming
Campus Master Plan Update (Spring 2005).
2. Improvements are fiscally constrained; this is especially significant
in light of the recent NC court ruling against public universities,
see the Technician
article.
