WolfTrails Application
NCSU Transportation offers commuter parking benefits to employees
who choose to walk or bike to work, use transit, carpool or vanpool.
After your
WolfTrails application is approved, participants are eligible
to receive daily parking permits, free of charge, for those days
when you are unable to travel to work via transit, biking or walking,
or on special occasions when you are not able to ride with your
normal carpool/vanpool partners.
Applicants must:
- Be a full-time university employee.
- Reapply each year for commuter status.
- Understand daily parking passes are prorated on an annual basis
and are valid for one-time use.
- Understand that expired permits may not be turned in for valid
permits.
- Understand that transit, bicycle, and walk commuter employees
may purchase up to 36 additional daily parking
passes from Transportation for $2/each. If more
than 36 permits are needed, the cost is $6 for each additional
permit, (which is the cost of parking at a pay lot for a day).
- Understand that transit, bicycle and walk commuters can NOT
have a current NC State University parking permit for any zone,
or must be willing to turn in their current NC State University
parking permit when they pick up their free daily parking passes.
- Understand carpool commuter employees may purchase 24
additional daily parking passes from Transportation for $2/each.
If more than 24 permits are needed, the cost for each
additional permit is $6/each.
