Wolfline Transit System

The Wolfline is the NC State community's own bus service. Wolfline buses run every day that classes are in session, serving all three campuses, two park & ride lots, and official NCSU housing.

Wolfline buses are open to the public. No university ID, pass, or fare is required to ride!

Wolfline Buses are red and white with black pinstriping. They can be identified by this paint scheme along with the Wolfline logo lettering.

Wolfline buses travel along designated routes, stopping only at designated, marked Wolfline stops.

Wolfline is formally charged with providing bus service:

  • for students, staff and faculty once they arrive on Main Campus.
  • for students, staff and faculty who do not have parking permits and use our park & ride lots.
  • for students, staff and faculty who travel back and forth from Centennial Campus and the College of Veterinary Medicine.
  • for students who live in official University housing.

Wolfline schedules are carefully planned to make the most efficient use of the resources provided to us and to create as convenient a service as possible. We monitor and analyze how we can improve the service. Call 515-WOLF or email us with your suggestions! Adjustments are normally made with the change of semesters.

People with low vision or blindness are encouraged to call NCSU Transportation at 919-515-3424 for assistance in utilizing the Transit Visualization System (TVS) which provides real-time bus locations along all Wolfline routes.

Wolfline Listserv (Groupnews e-mail list)

If you are going to ride the Wolfline, it is wise to join the listserv and also to write down the 515-WOLF phone number. It is difficult to get information to riders in a timely fashion. Keeping in touch will help you to plan effectively.

The listserv (or newsgroup) will allow you to receive a personal email about detours and adjustments to service whenever possible. The 515-WOLF phone line is kept updated with upcoming holiday info, and other useful information.
