Wolfline is the NCSU transit system, providing on and near campus service through 12 daytime routes and 1 evening route. For more information and to track buses in real-time, visit www.ncsu.edu/wolfline

Through the GoPass program, students, faculty and staff can ride CAT and Triangle Transit for FREE. Pick up your GoPass from the Transportation office.

Local Bus Service

Capital Area Transit (CAT), the City of Raleigh's public transit service, offers city-wide bus service. Four CAT routes serve the NCSU campus: 4, 11, 11c, and 12, while the university's WolfProwl evening route is designed to connect to the City's R-line - a free downtown circulator. For detailed route and schedule information, visit the CAT website or call 485-RIDE for more information. CAT route maps are also available at NCSU Transportation, the Talley Student Center, and real-time bus info at www.raleighrides.org.

NCSU students, faculty and staff can ride CAT free with a GoPass. Visitors will need cash fare of $1 per ride. Multi-day passes can be purchased through CAT and/or their sales outlets, including Raleigh-area Harris Teeter stores.

 

Regional Bus Service

Triangle Transit provides regional bus service to NC State from Raleigh, Cary, Apex, Durham, Chapel Hill, and many points in between. NCSU is served by the following Triangle Transit routes:

NCSU students, faculty and staff can ride Triangle Transit free with a GoPass. Visitors will need a cash fare of $2 per ride ($2.50 for Express service). Multi-day passes are available for online purchase at http://www.triangletransit.org/bus/online-store/

Other

Plan your next bus trip with Google Transit by running directions in Google Maps and choosing the bus icon. Google will show you a map of the transit trip, as well as the physical location of your origin/destination bus stops.

Check out Amtrak's Weekly Specials or get a Student Advantage Card and save 15% on all tickets. Directions to the downtown Raleigh Amtrak station.

 

Megabus connections are available to Charlotte, Richmond, VA and Washington, DC. Directions to Raleigh/Durham area stations and price information are available at http://us.megabus.com/

Trailways offers Greyhound bus connections to many destinations from its station at 314 W Jones Street in downtown Raleigh.
