Travel the Triangle FREE with GoPass!

What is GoPass?
NCSU Transportation has partnered with Capital
Area Transit (CAT) and Triangle Transit (TT) to offer free area transit to all NC State students,
faculty and staff. The program is called "GoPass" and is meant to provide an alternative to driving.
It's FREE?!
Yes, GoPass is free to all current NC State students, faculty and staff. GoPasses are non-transferable; only
valid for assignee on record with NCSU Transportation.
Centennial Campus affiliates are also eligible for GoPass; for more information, contact the NCSU Transportation office: 919-515-3424
*GoPass users do not have to be Wolftrails participants,
nor are they required to give up their parking permit.
How do I get a GoPass?
Students and employees can bring their student/staff/faculty ID card to the NCSU Transportation office (Admin 1 Building, 2721 Sullivan Drive, 7:30 am - 5 pm, Monday - Friday) to pick up a 2011-2012 GoPass.
GoPasses are valid for one full academic year and can be renewed at the beginning of each academic year in August.
There will be a $5 charge for replacement passes with a maximum of two replacements available per 12 month GoPass period.
How do I use my GoPass?
First, visit gotriangle.org to plan your trip (figure out which bus to ride and when and where to pick it up.) Also check out GoTriangle's How to Ride Guide for helpful videos.
Every CAT and Triangle Transit bus has an electronic farebox located next to the driver at the front of the bus. A normal passenger would insert their cash or fare card into this box when they board the bus. GoPass holders swipe their GoPass through the top of this box instead. Check out GoTriangle's "Paying the Fare" video for visual instructions.
