Permits for Fall Parking

Important 08-09 Permit Information

All students must apply for parking when registering for fall courses on MyPack Portal. Registration on MyPack Portal is NOT for spring and summer parking permits.

Apply Each Year
Permit application is required for permit eligibility but does not guarantee permit offer. Permits are assigned based on:

1) class seniority
2) space availability and
3) date/time of registration.

Permits do not rollover; you must reapply each year.

Before You Apply
Before entering MyPack Portal, please familiarize yourself with the different Permit Zones and Eligibility Requirements for students. Be sure to have your current vehicle and tag information on hand. Vehicle insurance information (policy # and name of insurance provider) is required. This information will be collected when the permit is purchased.

Permit Demand Exceeds Supply
If we have a permit to offer you, fall permit assignment information will be emailed to your address on file with Registration and Records in early July. Payment will be due at that time. Payment instructions, payment deadline, pickup times and details will be included in an email from Transportation with the permit offer.
Note: Permits not paid for by the payment deadline will be reassigned to other students.

Payment Information

Internet checking, online credit card and debit card payments are accepted as methods of payment. Insufficient funds and incorrect payment information will result in the cancellation of your permit assignment. No exceptions.

Students must use the pay online option.

Permit Pick Up Instructions are on the online payment instructions Web page.

Please Note:

Permits purchased prior to early August, are mailed to the address supplied during the online payment process. Permits purchased later must be picked up at the Transportation office (per instructions on e-mail receipt).

Transportation is located at 2721 Sullivan Drive (between Dan Allen Drive and Gorman Street). Regular business hours are Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. - 5 p.m. or during "Move-In Weekend" from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, from 1 - 4 p.m.

No Permit?

For those students not offered permits, frequent Wolfline bus service is available from two park and ride lots located at:

  • Carter Finley Stadium
  • Westgrove Towers Apartments (Blue Ridge Road near Western Boulevard)
