Employee Parking

Permit PlacementAny vehicle parked in any parking space, must display the appropriate parking permit for that space, unless parked at an activated parking meter or in a hourly pay lot. Permits must be displayed on the bottom of the passenger-side windshield of the vehicle.

Persons registering and receiving permits will be responsible for all violations issued to all vehicles displaying the permit. Parking permits remain the property of Transportation. As such, parking permits, replacement permits and/or temporary permits may not be given, traded, sold, or borrowed.

Employee Parking Permit Renewals

Employee parking permits are valid for three years with payroll deductions automatically extended. If the employee's work location changes, i.e., transfer to a zone other than "C," the employee may contact Transportation and request to be placed on the "B" waitlist in the event a permit becomes available in this zone.

Employees who purchase parking permits annually due to specific employment circumstances are given the opportunity in late spring of each year to renew their parking permit for the next academic year. Annual permits are delivered to the office location on record prior to the start of the new academic year. Permits are renewed for the same type of permit unless one of the following conditions occur:

  • The individual is no longer employed by the University, per payroll.
  • The employee may be on an unpaid leave of absence.
  • The employee may request a different parking zone if their primary work location has change to that new requested zone.
