Homecoming Parade
Friday, November 18, 2011

Traffic - Homecoming Parade is scheduled to begin at approximately 5:30 p.m.

Please note: We are advised the Raleigh Police Department and Campus Police will close the portion of Hillsborough Street affected by the Parade Route (see below) close to 6 p.m. If you must exit campus during parade hours, exit south towards Western Boulevard.

The Parade Route - Sullivan Lot (behind Tennis Courts/Doak Field) to Sullivan Drive, Dan Allen Drive, Hillsborough Street to Pullen Road to Cates Avenue (which will be temporarily WESTBOUND only until the Parade passes), Dan Allen Drive to Sullivan Drive and back to the parking lot behind the tennis courts.

The Parade is expected to be in progress from 5:30 p.m.until approximately 7 p.m. Western Boulevard traffic may also be impacted. You may want to plan your exit from campus prior to these times and/or avoid the Parade route. (Also, if you are carpooling and normally picked up along Hillsborough Street, you may want to arrange your pick up at another location - Oberlin Road - as cars will not be allowed on Hillsborough Street during the Parade.)

Parking - If you plan on parking in the "C" lot (behind the tennis courts), please do not move traffic cones which have been placed for the float staging area. The majority of this lot will be in use throughout the day for float building and Parade staging. "C" permitholders may also park on Varsity Drive between Thurman and Sullivan Drives.

Transit Riders - If you're a transit rider, (Wolfline, CAT, TT), wolfline will temporarily suspend service until the Parade passes. CAT and TT riders should view Parade-related detours.
