Parking Enforcement & Petitions / Appeals

Parking Permits Are Enforced:

From 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, except on Official University Holidays. (opens in a new window in human resources pages.)

From 7 a.m. to Midnight, Monday through Thursday and 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday in the Resident Parking Zones ("DE", "DW").

Evening reserved lots with signage posted at individual lot/space.

"24 Hour Towing" spaces and "No Parking" areas are enforced AT ALL TIMES.

The goal of enforcement is NOT to cite vehicles, but to encourage your voluntary compliance with NCSU parking rules and regulations. Please don't hesitate to ask enforcement officers for directions or assistance - they are happy to help you.

Petitions / Appeals

The petition/appeal system is intended to provide visitors and members of the campus community a way to settle contested parking citations, administrative fines, restitution and suspension of parking privileges. Ordinances governing parking and traffic control are adopted each year and enforced by direction of the Board of Trustees, under the authority of the General Statues of the State of North Carolina. It is our goal to provide a fair and impartial review for each individual's case.
