Share your research with the world!

You can now increase the availablility of your research to the academic community worldwide, increase your exposure to potential employers, improve your understanding of electronic publishing issues, and reduce the need for library space by submitting your thesis or dissertation electronically.

In the summer of 1997, NC State began a pilot project giving students the option of submitting their thesis or dissertation in electronic form. The interest in the ETD (Electronic Theses and Dissertations) Initiative was overwhelming, and beginning Fall 2002 the University required electronic submission of all theses and dissertations.

    What is an ETD?

ETD's are a new generation of theses and dissertations that can include color diagrams, color images, hypertext links, audio, video, animations, spreadsheets, databases, simulations, and virtual reality worlds. This inclusion of new multimedia can allow the student to better express ideas and the reader to better understand them..
