Sending 2 follow-up reminders works best to increase response rates.

• Timing

  • base on when returns obviously slow down (maybe 1-2 weeks after original)
  • same thing for 2nd follow-up

• Materials (mail survey)

  • reminder card with information to have new survey sent if necessary OR
  • entire survey packet
