NC State uses an online system for student evaluation of classes. Through ClassEval, students are invited to give feedback to their instructors.
It is very important that all students participate in ClassEval by submitting a completed questionnaire for every class they take, every semester. A high response rate and candid, thoughtful answers are essential for giving each instructor and every department useful feedback for improving the class in the future. All responses are confidential, and instructors cannot see which students evaluated them or what they said.
Almost all classes are included in ClassEval. Exceptions include all classes in the College of Veterinary Medicine, 600- and 800- level classes, study abroad classes, and classes with fewer than five students.
