North Carolina State University
ClassEval Question Bank

The ClassEval Question Bank (QBank) is an ever-growing, searchable, online catalogue of questions/items designed to use in student evaluation of a course. This document is a static page of all the questions in the QBank to date. To select questions from the QBank to include on an evaluation for an individual course, instructors need to go through the online process during the designated time period for doing so.

The original QBank drew heavily on the work by Raoul A. Arreola in Developing a Comprehensive Faculty Evaluation System, 3rd ed., 2007 (Bolton, MA: Anker Publishing Company, Inc). Additional questions have been added by NC State University instructors. Every semester instructors will be invited to add questions to the Qbank to later select for use on their individual course evaluations.

Questions in the QBank are sorted into various topics, such as those related to the design of the course (e.g. expectations and objectives of the course, reading and supplemental material), the instructor delivery of the course (e.g., ability to explain/clarify, enthusiasm), instructional assessment and feedback (e.g., usefulness to student, grading), and student outcomes and engagement (e.g., general content competency, personal growth, preparation).

For more information, go to the QBank FAQs.
