The purpose
of this page is to connect you with higher education training
resources connected to teaching, technology, student learning,
and assessment. Most of the annotated descriptions associated
with these links have been taken from the individual web sites
and should not be seen as UPA promoting one resource over another.

EDUCAUSE:
EDUCAUSE is a nonprofit association whose mission is to advance
higher education by promoting the intelligent use of information
technology. The EDUCAUSE
Learning Initiative (ELI), formerly the National Learning
Infrastructure Initiative (NLII), is a community of higher
education institutions and organizations committed to advancing
learning through IT innovation. (more

- Equal
Access to Software and Information (EASI): This site
provides resources surrounding access-to-information technologies
by individuals with disabilities.
- The Multimedia
Educational Resource for Teaching and Online Learning:
MERLOT is a free, web-based resource that provides tips and
resources for teaching with technology. Originally created by
California State University in 1997, MERLOT is an international
online community that disseminates best practices, instructional
support ideas, resources and materials that advance the pedagogical
understanding of teaching with technology, whether in the classroom,
online or in blended models of online materials and pedagogy.
Faculty members of MERLOT can receive training
and professional development on how to integrate
technology into teaching and learning.

The University
of North Carolina campuses Teaching and Learning with Technology
Collaborative (UNC TLTC) has created a training compendium.
This provides training materials related to teaching with technology
from the 16 University of North Carolina campuses. This includes
tutorials, workshop syllabi, instructional videos, course handouts,
