As mathematics provide the language for science, institutional data provides the language for planning, assessment and policy research. Through assessment, we find out how to improve quality. Through planning, we take what we have learned from assessment, then scan the horizon and establish priorities.
In 2014 NC State University will undergo reaffirmation of accreditation by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). SACS reaffirmation of accreditation is completed every ten years. SACS reaffirmed accreditation of NC State in 2004 and the Fifth Year Report was submitted in March 2010.
For 2014, reaffirmation activities will be coordinated by a Leadership Team comprised of Chancellor Randy Woodson, Provost Warwick Arden, SACS Accreditation Liaison Karen Helm, Faculty Chair Hans Kellner, Graduate Dean Duane Larick, and PAMS Associate Dean Jo-Ann Cohen.
